Sanjay founded SARORAS in 2018 to pursue investments in technology and business services companies. Prior to founding SARORAS, Sanjay worked at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). At WCAS, Sanjay was a General Partner, member of the Management Committee, and Co-Head of the Information & Business Services group. Prior to joining WCAS, Sanjay was a Director with Fox Paine & Company, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. He also worked in the Mergers, Acquisitions & Restructuring Department and in the Debt Capital Markets Department of Morgan Stanley & Co.
Sanjay has been involved in a number of educational and charitable activities. He currently chairs the Advisory Council for Princeton University’s Institute for International and Regional Studies, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Partnership Fund sponsored by the Partnership for New York City, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. Sanjay was also a David Rockefeller Fellow with the Partnership for New York City.
Sanjay graduated from Princeton University with a BA in molecular biology in 1987. He also earned concurrent degrees from Harvard Law School and MIT’s Sloan School of Management in 1994.
Co-Founder & Chairman
Robert joined SARORAS in 2018 and serves as its Chairman. As Chairman, Robert leads SARORAS’ investment committee. Prior to joining SARORAS, Robert was a General Partner, Co-Managing Partner, and member of the Management Committee at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS).
Robert has been a member of the Board of Directors at a number of public companies, including Chairman roles at Alliance Data Services (NYSE: ADS), Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), and Paycom (NYSE:PAYC). Prior to joining WCAS, Robert served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Data Corporation (First Data). Before joining First Data, he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of the American Express Company. He also spent 12 years at Lehman Brothers, where he was a Managing Director.
Robert currently serves as the Chairman of the Domus Foundation, one of Connecticut’s largest nonprofit organizations focusing on education, vocational, and residential programs for underprivileged children and young adults. Robert previously served on the Board of Trustees of The Choate School and remains the Chairman of the Investment Committee, which oversees and is the primary fiduciary of the school’s endowment. Robert received a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
John Almeida, Jr.
Prior to joining SARORAS, John was the founder and Managing Partner of Five Peaks Capital Management. FPCM completed and successfully exited 4 investments focused on the Data, Marketing & Information Services Industry. In addition to overseeing the successful execution and management of the transactions, Mr. Almeida served in an executive role at both Reimagine Holdings Group and TrueSample Holdings. Prior to founding FPCM, he was a General Partner and Member of the Management Committee of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). Mr. Almeida joined WCAS in March 1999 as an Associate and was promoted to General Partner in December 2003. Mr. Almeida holds a B.A. degree from Yale College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Conner joined SARORAS in 2018 as a Managing Director. Conner was previously a Principal in the Information and Business Services Group at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe’s (WCAS) Information and Business Services Group. While at WCAS, he led the associate recruiting and training programs. Earlier in his career, Conner worked in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers. He received a BA in Economics from Amherst College.
Eileen joined SARORAS in 2018 to lead the firm’s Investor Relations efforts. Prior to SARORAS, Eileen was Managing Director of Business Development at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). Before WCAS, Eileen was a Partner at FLAG Capital Management. Earlier in her career, Eileen worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Bank of New York. Eileen holds a BS from Georgetown University.
Prior to joining SARORAS in 2019, Chris worked with Five Peaks Capital Management. Before Five Peaks, he was a Senior Associate at Roark Capital Group focusing on the business services and consumer services verticals. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mitchell worked at Thayer Capital Partners (now HCI Equity Partners) and Bowles Hollowell Conner / First Union Securities. He holds a BS in Commerce with Distinction and an MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia. He received an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
